Marine Marketing International Ltd was first established in 1985 as the London marketing office for the Zenta Engineering Holdings Ltd Group of Companies.

1n 1988 Capt. Derek Hammond merged his Hammond Marine Agencies Ship repair yard agency with MMI which significantly expanded the company size. This also brought representation of diving and underwater service contractors into MMI`s portfolio.
